Harbhajan Singh
The off-spinner managed to pick 150 wickets in 163 matches, He was a part of the Mumbai Indians team until 2017 and moved to Chennai Super Kings in the latter part of his career. Quite interestingly, Harbhajan led Mumbai Indians in 20 matches during the period from 2008 to 2012, with the team winning 10 of them. In 2008, he made it to Cricket news headlines in a controversy involving Sreesanth as well.
Cameron White
The Australian batter was a popular face in the earlier phases of the IPL. After being announced as Australia’s T20 captain in 2011, he was given an opportunity to lead the Deccan Chargers team in the same year as well. In the 2013 season, he took over the captaincy from Kumar Sangakkara and helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad team to seal the playoffs spot in their debut season. In 12 matches as captain, the respective team secured a total of 7 wins.
George Bailey
The current Chief selector of the Australian team was the captain of Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings) in the 2014 and 2015 editions of the tournament. In his debut stint as a leader in IPL 2014, he helped the team to produce their best performance by emerging as the runner-up. In a total of 30 matches, Kings XI Punjab secured victories on 14 occasions.
JP Duminy
The South African middle-order batsman produced quality knocks under pressure in the Indian Premier League. But, his captaincy stint in the tournament is not known to many. In the 2015 and 2016 editions, Duminy captained Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) in a total of 16 games and found success in only 6 of them. He featured in the tournament until the 2018 edition.
Aaron Finch
The current Australia limited-overs captain Aaron Finch started his IPL career in 2010 and is the only player to have been selected to play for a record number of 9 different franchises. In the 2013 edition, Finch captained the Pune Warriors team in 10 fixtures, but the team could manage to secure victory on only 2 occasions. In the 2022 season, Finch will feature for Kolkata Knight Riders.
