Eligibility Criteria for Jewellery Design:
For Graduation:
- A student who passes their 12th class from any stream from a recognized board becomes eligible for graduating in Jewellery Design.
- To take admission, eligible candidates must clear their entrance exam along with a group discussion and interview round.
Post-graduation level:

- To be eligible for PG, students must secure their bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks from any recognized university in an associated field. Students graduating in nonrelated discipline can also enroll if they showcase the mandatory skill set required for jewelry design.
- Eligible candidates will need to clear their entrance exam
- Following this they will have to pass both group discussion and personal interview round
- Basis the cutoff, the students are allowed to enroll for their masters.
Responsibilities:
- Interact, listen and understand client’s requirements and accordingly visualize distinct concepts and designs
- Sketch the designs for initial discussion and then utilize CAD and other drawing softwares etc. to transform your thoughts into designs that can be presented for client approvals. These approved CAD designs are then shared with the teams at the time of delegation of responsibilities.
- Identifying the right quality of materials and gems and other precious stones like rubies, diamonds and emeralds etc.
- Create jewellery framework so as to facilitate mounting of selected gems (stones) via drilling of metals.
- Creating decorative details via use of moulds followed by stamping and presswork
- Drawing, soldering and fabrication of patterns and other details on the metal surface
- Ensure proper polishing and finish
- Layering of base metal with precious metal utilizing Electro-plating
- Make sure that powdered glass is fused to metal by using enameling in a kiln. This is done to craft coloured patterns
- Welding so as to combine metal pieces
